Eclipse came to IncWorx looking for expertise to help migrate their SharePoint 2007 MOSS environment to SharePoint Server 2010. Eclipse wanted a partner who understands the complexities of a global organization and could ensure optimal performance for all of their locations, domestic and abroad. In addition to the migration, Eclipse wanted IncWorx to focus on increased user adoption and use of the full range of SharePoint 2010 features.
After several rounds of interviews and an in depth health check of their environment, IncWorx was able to provide Eclipse with a detailed document set which covered health check results, current and recommended architecture, and a migration and recommendations roadmap, among other things. Using this documentation, IncWorx was able to map out a vision of the future. Following the agreed upon design, IncWorx was able to quickly complete the installation and configuration of SharePoint Server 2010 and move to a proof of concept test migration. The POC migration was followed up by full site regression testing to ensure a smooth and issue free transition in production. Early on, Eclipse had mentioned wanting to include some form of branding in the migration. The funding had not been included in the initial migration budget, so they thought they would have to do it in the future. In the end, the experience of the IncWorx migration team allowed the migration to move so quickly that Eclipse was able to use extra migration funds to include BrandIt in their engagement.
