IncWorx designed a Power Automate solution that centralizes flow management, backup, and restoration by using SharePoint as the foundation.
The first flow retrieves all Power Automate flows from a selected environment and records key details in a SharePoint list called List of Flows. This inventory gives the legal team a clear view of existing automation and supports better oversight.
From that list, users can trigger the second flow to back up a selected automation. This process saves the full flow definition and its connection information to the Flow Backup Files document library. At the same time, the solution creates a corresponding entry in the List of Flow Backups SharePoint list. This structure provides clear traceability and an organized backup history.
When restoration becomes necessary, users select a backup from the SharePoint list and trigger the third flow. The restore process creates a new Power Automate flow using the original definition and connection details. This approach eliminates guesswork and ensures consistency during recovery.
Together, these flows create a repeatable, user-friendly backup and restore process aligned with the needs of a legal environment.
